Fair Related FAQ

The fair is operated annually in November.
We have multiple locations, at different times on different days. Click here to see event details.
No, it does not! We encourage all Juniors, Seniors,Transfer students and parents to attend our fairs.
Use HBCU SEARCH to see what HBCUs will offer onsite admissions at the fair. Most of the 40+ HBCU admissions professionals in attendance from the campuses will offer onsite admissions and application fee waivers.
Typically, alumni representatives are not able to do so. Most alumni are able to give out and collect applications and answer questions about enrollment requirements and campus life.

Each of the locations vary time schedules of workshops and motivational speakers depending on the number and types of workshops that will be provided. Admissions representatives will be available during the entire time period as indicated on the schedules.

About two weeks before the first fair, a list of the participating HBCUs will be posted.  Scroll to the bottom of the website and click on Downloads, Flyers and Lists under OTHER LINKS for easy access to the Participating HBCUs list(s).

You can select HBCU SEARCH on the main menu at the top of the Home page.  Then check that the FAIR PARTICIPANTS toggle is set to YES with color Green. All the colleges that will be at a fair during Malcolm Bernard HBCU College Fair Week will be displayed below the search criteria area. A Fair Participant flag is displayed for HBCUs that are coming and the colleges will be shown in alphabetical order. When you click on the gold circular link on the HBCU's box, their School Info will be displayed on their individual page. The Fair Events that they are participating in are shown on this page. The HBCU's school information is updated as representatives register to participate, and post updates until the events occur.


Date and location details can be found for upcoming fairs on the Events page.  Click GET STARTED on the top menu of the HOME page.  Then click FAIR REGISTRATION under Students and Groups to go to the Events Page.  You will see all scheduled fairs there.
